Classes are split up into three Phases,  they are----

Muay Thai Kickboxing training

Training methods include kicks, punches and the extensive use of knees and elbows, Muay Thai is an effective and brutal martial art originally from Thailand. Muay Thai distinguishes itself from western kickboxing and other standup martial arts by 3 things: the clinch, the Thai low kick and the Thai roundhouse.

Thai Clinch training

The clinch includes some stand up grappling, where you learn to control the opponent’s head and use knees and elbows in this close range.. Learning to totally control the opponents head and keep him off balance while hitting him repeatedly is our number one goal.. We are not training ring sport Muay Thai Boxing, we are training the concepts that are conducive for a streetfight. However there is an extreme focus on cardio training, focus pad training, thai pad workouts using knees, elbows, and punishing leg and kicking drills on both the heavy bag, and thai pads. We finish with intense sparring in both kickboxing and clinch ranges.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu / Submission Fighting

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the dominate martial art proving itself time and time again in the UFC, Pride, and other Mixed Martial art competitions. At PFS BJJ we train in the Carlson Gracie Brazilian Jiu-jitsu style along with submission grappling, and NHB/MMA fighting techniques developed by Conan Silveira and the Carlson Gracie Team.  In addition to learning submissions and the ground N pound methods of ground fighting, you will learn effective takedowns, and defensive sprawling to avoid being taken to the ground.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling and ground fighting, with the goal of gaining a dominant position, and using joint-locks and choke holds to force an opponent to submit. Classes are taught without the gi, and the focus of our BJJ is on the combat martial art, and not the sport..

Bill Pavlik was promoted to a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 1998 under Extreme Fighting Heavyweight Champ Marcus "Conan" Silveira & the Carlson Gracie Jiu Jitsu team Miami Fl.
